2010 Festivals

Dear Artists and Artisans,

2010 will undoubtedly be an improved year for the art/craft industry. All signs point to an improving economy and rising consumer confidence. In spite of the worst recession since the Depression, Craftproducers Festivals demonstrated vitality and strength in 2008 and again in 2009. Despite incredibly bad weather in the summer of 2009, crowds were at least equal or marginally larger than previous years. Given the state of the union, that is saying a lot.

Our enthusiasm remains undiminished and we are confident that our Festivals will be successful in 2010. We enjoy impressive locations in upscale areas where customers still enjoy discretionary income. While conspicuous consumption has disappeared, a new shopping etiquette is emerging. Whether it is food from the farm down the road or a wedding ring from the local jewelry shop, people are looking to support sustainable local industries and products. Although this is a difficult transition, there is hope for the future. Once again handmade products are in vogue. As the Earth itself is increasingly challenged, many innovative solutions will include a return to buying local.

We will continue to keep the faith and spread the word: Your works are great. People will come. Survive and thrive. To encourage your participation, we have a range of flexible credit plans. Remember: we won’t take your money (booth fees) so many months before a show. Join us in as many shows as you can in 2010.

We appreciate your support.

The 25th Annual Flemington Spring Crafts Festival
May 22 and 23, 2010
Hunterdon County Fairgrounds, Ringoes, NJ

2009 was Craftproducers first year producing this show after purchasing it from UCE. 5,000 buyers returned and gave us an enthusiastic welcome. We radically improved the quality of the exhibitors and created a positive feeling amongst fairgoers and exhibitors alike. While we are not miracle workers, there is clearly a vibrant future here. In fact, the demographics of the area are fabulously suited to you and your work; a high quality show in this market is a perfect match. We see the potential and we will strive to realize it. This show is well poised for growth.

As an incentive we offer a sweet deal for exhibitors. Our fees will remain heavily discounted. In 2010 the booth fee includes 400 watts of electricity. Our jury goal is a well rounded mix of 175 exhibitors.

10X10 $400; 15X10 $550; 20X10 $700; Outdoor $400; Corners $100 premium; additional 400 watts of electricity $50; Specialty Food 10x10 $350; SF 15x10 $450; SF 20x10 $550

The 6th Annual Taste of Stowe Arts Festival
July 30, 31, & August 1, 2010
Stowe Events Field, Stowe VT

This event is now integrated into the fabric of Stowe in the summer. It has become the kickoff to a 10 day celebration of the arts. Stowe and its major resorts have promised to promote the event to attract tourists during our weekend here.

We will continue our relationship with the Helen Day Art Center and their 36 artists. This local non-profit Arts organization also coordinates a children’s craft area. Our partnership garners much local goodwill and support.

The show currently supports 150 artisans and we will stick to that number in 2010. In 2009 we moved forward with a modest gain in attendance and sales. With the marketing support of the entire community, we expect to increase last year’s 5,500 customers. There is a lot of momentum here.

10X10 $475; 15X10 $650; 20X10 $775; Outdoor $460; Corners $100 premium; additional 400 watts of electricity $50; Specialty Food 10x10 $375; SF 15x10 $525; SF 20x10 $650

This show has a loyal following. To augment the crowds, we will work closely with the local Chamber of Commerce, who intend to promote our event to assist in bringing more tourists to the area. Certainly more tourists will help any show. We will tweak the many strengths of the show to take advantage of growing consumer optimism.

In 2010 we will accept 175 exhibitors. Traditional attendance exceeds 8,000 customers.

10X10 $535; 15X10 $735; 20X10 $860; Outdoor $500; Corners $100 Premium; additional 400 watts of electricity $50; Specialty Food 10x10 $375; SF 15x10 $525; SF 20x10 $650

At the absolute apex of the Vermont foliage season, this show rivals the spectacular color of the leaves. Not only attracting Columbus Day Weekend tourists from all over the United States, the festival draws throngs from Canada celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving. The town is packed. Because it is easily the best art/craft fair in northern Vermont, it draws a big local crowd as well.

December 3, 4, & 5, 2010
New York State Fairgrounds Horticulture Building, Syracuse, NY

This longtime favorite is on the upswing. During the two years of Craftproducers producing the show (formerly owned by UCE), both quality and attendance have improved significantly.

The Fairgrounds buildings have easy set up and breakdown and the hours are reasonable. The booth fees are structured to entice your support to a show on the rebound.

Our jury goal is 125 exhibitors for a crowd of 6,000.
